Positioning:

DX: Rhinorrhea- Patient prone

DX: Otorrhea- Patient in a lateral decubitus position with side of interest down

 

Patients with Otorrhea:

• Use Temporal Bone CT protocol
• Pre-scan before intrathecal injection (Bone: 1mm, ax (raw))
• Post intrathecal contrast injection, target side of interest only for ax and cor
• No Poschl or Stenvers
• Review images with onsite radiologist before releasing patient
